Auditions will be held for two upcoming spring productions at the Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater. My Time To Shine 4 Talent Competition try-outs will be held 6pm and 7:30pm Friday February 10 and 11am Saturday February 11, while auditions for Nunsense, The Musical will be held 3pmSunday February 12.
The My Time To Shine 4 Talent Competition is the theater’s popular –and very competitive- talent competition that includes all categories of talent from singing and dancing to juggling and more. The auditions will determine which performers are invited to showcase on the Civic Center stage on Saturday March 25 with cash and gift prizes going to the top contestants and a grand prize of $1,000 to the winner. For downloadable application and more show information, visit the theater’s website at www.carolinaciviccenter.com or stop by our administration office MondayFriday (12-6pm) at 315 North Chestnut Street Lumberton. All applications and a NON-refundable $20.00 registration fee must be submitted to CCC to the attention of Jonathan Brewington, Stage Manager at 315 N. Chestnut Street Lumberton, NC  28358 by February 6th, 2017 by the 6:00PM. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Nunsense, The Musical is a musical comedy created by Dan Goggin and directed by Kendrix Singletary, the theater’s resident artist and production manager. Audition date is Sunday, Feb. 12th (3:00pm) and show dates areJune 9, 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18. Rehearsals will begin March 6.  Please come prepared to sing, cold read from the script, and learn a short dance combination.

The Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater is a beautifully-restored treasure listed on the National Register of Historic Places that offers visitors a unique and visually stunning experience.
