DUBLIN – Fifty-two students walked across the stage to receive their diplomas at the Bladen Community College Basic Skills Commencement Program in May.

Student Xavier Korenstra spoke to the graduates saying, “Today is the best day of my life.”

Ann Garrett, Branch Manager of the Bladen County NCWorks Career Center delivered the commencement address. She emphasized the importance of understanding that your destiny will determine your future. “You are destined to make a difference,” she remarked. “No matter what, your past has positioned you to make a difference.”

Michalla Musselwhite was recognized as the student with the highest total score on the High School Equivalency Test. Marshalls for the event were Zachary Bridgers and Tammy Winebarger.

Bladen Community College continues to help students complete their high school equivalency and begin higher levels of educational success.
