don-brownDUBLIN – At 11 a.m., on Thursday, Nov. 3, former Special Assistant United States Attorney, Navy JAG Officer, and best-selling author Don Brown will speak at Bladen Community College.

With eleven novels about military operations and strategic government war tactics, Brown’s novels are so popular that he authored an educational guide to his best-seller, Treason.

While working at the pentagon, he authored legal memoranda for the Secretary of the Navy. Now he lives and works in Charlotte as an attorney while writing about military operations.

His works include the Zondervan’s Navy Justice Series, Navy JAG Series, and Pacific Rim Series. His bestseller, Treason, written in 2003, is said to have predicted the Fort Hood terrorist attack which occurred six years after the book was published.

His presentation will include a variety of military and governmental discussions, and specifically why the Taliban took down the U.S. helicopter call sign “Extortion 17” three months after the Navy SEAL Team Six killed Bin Laden.

This program is a part of the BCC Writers Series and is made possible by a grant from the North Carolina Humanities Council, a statewide nonprofit and affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, and Bladen Community College.

The event is open to the public and hosted in the Student Resource Center (building 7). For more information, contact Dr. Joyce Bahhouth at 910-879-5540.
