 BCC Black History ProgramDUBLIN – On Thursday, Feb. 11, Bladen Community College will welcome guest speaker, Pastor Cliff E. Freeman Jr. to a celebratory assembly for Black History Month. The program commences at 11 a.m. in the college auditorium.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Pastor Freeman holds a Master of Divinity Degree from North Carolina Theological Seminary, where he is also a faculty member. His undergraduate work was completed at Heritage Bible College in Dunn.

Freeman served in the U.S. Army for seven years and is currently employed with General Services Administration at Ft. Bragg. He is currently pastor of the Greater First Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, which he describes as “the best church this side of the Mississippi River.”

He also serves as Vice Moderator for the Hammond Creek Association of Bladen County, and is president of its Pastor’s and Minister’s conferences.

He and his wife, Deanna, live in Elizabethtown with their three children.
