The Bladenboro Board of Commissioners are expected to appoint a town administrator at its meeting Monday night at Town Hall, according to the agenda.
The administrator would replace Melanie Hester, who would return to her previous position as town clerk as well as become finance officer. The current clerk, Pamela Bowen, is expected to return to her previous position as tax collector and utility clerk.
Hester was named interim administrator in March 2014 after the resignation of Delane Jackson in December 2013. She became administrator in July 2014. She had requested to return to her previous position and the board has been looking for a replacement for the past few months.
The meeting is open to the public and scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Town Hall on Ivey Street.
