santaThe holidays are fast approaching. Chief Hunt, Police Chief of Bladenboro announced this week it is time for the Police Department’s “Christmas for Kids program.”

According to Hunt the Police Department will be taking 15 less fortunate children shopping for the holidays and they need donations for this worthy and fulfilling cause.

Hunt said, “The children are selected by the staff members of the Bladenboro Primary School. The children buy a coat, clothes, under garments and shoes. The remaining money is spent on toys of their choice.”

The police department and the school plan to take the children shopping for their gifts on the 15th of December with all the donations collected.

All donations can be given to Chief Hunt, given at Bladenboro Town Hall, or you may mail donations to Bladenboro Police Department, P.O. Box 455, Bladenboro, NC 28320. Everyone who gives will receive a receipt for their donation.

“I’m asking for help to make sure that our children will have a Christmas to remember this year. On behalf of the Bladenboro Police Department and the children I want to thank everyone for their donations in advance.” Hunt said.
