A car struck a tree near the Bay Tree Lakes subdivision on Tuesday night. The crash ocurred at about 10 p.m.
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, Brianna Yvette Smith of Elizabethtown was driving her vehicle west on NC 41 near Bay Tree Lakes when her vehicle traveled left of the center line, ran off the roadway on the left, and struck a ditch. The vehicle then struck a tree and came to rest in a ditch.
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, no charges were filed in the incident. Trooper Atlas McVicker investigated the incident.
