The Bladen County Board of Commissioners met on Monday night and recognized May 6 through May 12 as National Nurses Week with a proclamation.
The proclamation was received by a group of registered nurses from Cape Fear Valley-Bladen County Hospital who attended the meeting.
Bladen County Commissioner Vice-Chairman Arthur Bullock read the proclamation while Bladen County Commissioner Chairman Russell Priest looked on.
