Spread the love

8k2014The 2nd Annual 8K Trail Run and Walk to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project hosted by the Elizabethtown Rotary Club will be held this Saturday at the Brown’s Creek Nature Park and Bike Trail. Last year the event brought many to our area, and this year the event is set to be even bigger.

Community members along with Cape Fear SORBA members have worked hard on getting the trail ready for the big event.  It isn’t too late to take part in this worthwhile fund raiser. This year, the race has a relay team option.

Race day registration will begin at 7 am, Saturday, April 18th, at 2354 Broad Street in Elizabethtown. There will be awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall men and women and for the 1st place relay team. For more information you may visit, www.elizabethtownncrotary.org.

The club is not affiliated with the Wounded Warrior Project, but holds this event to raise money for the worthy cause, and to help support the Rotary Club.
