TownofElizabethtownlogoElizabethtown Town Commissioners will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in regular session and will consider several recommendations from the Planning Board, including proposals for development in the Elizabethtown Industrial Park and another on NC 53 W.

Public Hearings related to rezoning request from Homer Alex Monroe, II, doing business as Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery are on the agenda. The proposed project is a former winery site in the Industrial Park and will include a request for a Special Events development area and a separate hearing will solicit input for rezoning that will allow overnight accommodations at the same location.

Another Public Hearing is related to a Campbell Development, Inc. request. They seek to rezone property at 1419 US Highway 53 W from Residential Agricultural (RA) to Industrial (I).

The public is invited to attend and make comments.

In Administrative Matters, the town board will be ask to approve a comprehensive bicycle plan. Another request relates to the paving of a bike lane on Newton Street. Council may approve $7,300 to pay for the paving of the project.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Town Hall on Monday and is open to the public.
