If you are looking for something to do this weekend, look no further than White Lake. On Sunday, July 24, US 701 across from the Scotchman will be the site of the first annual White Lake Fun Day.
The weather forecast for Sunday includes beautiful blue skies and plenty of sunshine. The high is forecast to be 97 with a light breeze.
The events planned for Sunday will include a lawn mower tractor pull and a classic car show. Registration for both events begins at 11 a.m. and the events start at 1 p.m.
There will also be Gospel music on the stage and vendors will be on-hand. Food will be provided by the White Lake Fire Department and Sunset Slush of Bladen County. The White Lake Fire Department will be serving barbecue, hot dogs, hamburgers, Nachos and boiled peanuts, according to Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dawn Maynard.
Folks are encouraged to come out after church, bring a lawn chair and their families and friends and enjoy lunch, while taking in the classic cars, lawn mower pull, and shopping.
