JoynerDaniel G. Joyner has been named director of surgical services for Southeastern Health. He is responsible for surgery, pre-admission testing (PAT), post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), endoscopy, central sterilizing and anesthesia.

Joyner earned an associate’s degree in nursing from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in May 2001. He has also completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind., in May 2009 and a master’s degree in nursing/health care administration from American Sentinel University in Aurora, Colo., in April 2014. He is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in health care administration from American Sentinel University with an expected completion date of December 2018. He is also pursuing certification as an nurse executive advanced and in healthcare finance management.

He has served in a number of roles throughout his career including: director of surgical services, advisory board member of community colleges, operating room manager, post-anesthesia care unit, nursing instructor, circulating nurse, surgical technician and central sterilizing technician.

A native of Iowa who recently relocated from Houston, Texas, Joyner currently resides in Lumberton.
