AyvenLennonThe Bladenboro community has really pulled together to show support for a family dealing with a life changing health condition by hosting a Kids Fun Day. For those who may not have heard a Bladenboro family received some news every family hopes they never hear. Ayven Lennon the 5 year old son of Misty and Toby Lennon was diagnosed with Lymphocytic B-Cell Lymphoma and Leukemia.

The Kids Fun Day will be this Saturday, August 1st in Bladenboro at the Bladenboro Historical Building. The day will include bounce houses donated by Bounce Brothers, train rides donated by David Hales, Face painting, Slushies donated by Lu Mil Vineyard and more! The fun will begin at 10 am and last all day. The cost is $5 per person. Starting at 4 pm until 7 pm there will be BBQ and Chicken plates for sale and a silent auction.

According to event organizers the Dove Brothers will also be in concert at Galilee Baptist Church. Admission will be free and a love offering for the Lennon family will be collected. All the money donated will go to the Lennon family for Ayven.

The Bladenboro Historical Building is located at 818 S. Main St., Bladenboro, NC. If you can’t make the event there is a Go Fund Me page set up at http://www.gofundme.com/w6hexc to help the family with medical expenses.
