East Bladen grad Larrell Murchison is visiting the University of Texas this weekend and has been offered a scholarship to play football for Texas next season.
Murchison, a 6-4 290-pound defensive tackle, has already committed verbally to the University of Mississippi, but he is still taking visits to other colleges. National Signing Day for signing a Letter of Intent is February 5.
Murchison played the last two seasons at Louisburg College and was a team captain and Honorable Mention All-American this past season as the Hurricanes posted a perfect 9-0 record. Larrell made 41 tackles in 9 games – 29 solo tackles. He had 6 sacks and 18 tackles.
