Lu Mil Vineyard in Dublin will host a Bridal Show on Sunday, Jan. 15, from 2 until 5 p.m. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend. This is the 10th year Lu Mil has hosted the event.
“It’s more like a trade show,” said Denise Bridgers.
She said that the show offers the Bride-To-Be a variety of vendors including photographers, videographers, DJs, event planners, dealers for Bridal gowns, tuxedo rentals, and caterers.
Bridgers said there are also vendors who make invitations, thank you cards etc., people who sell make-up for weddings, florists, and new this year are hair and make-up artists.
“One hair and make-up artist will have a model with her so people can see what she does,” said Bridgers.
She added there is plenty of variety in this year’s show. Bridgers said this year the Bridal Show will have a vendor who offers horse and carriages for weddings and a photo booth.
Bridgers said the show is not just for the bride. She said there are that grooms and members of the wedding party are also invited as well as the public.
She said that all of the brides do register as they enter the show and the show averages between 85 to 95 brides each year.
“We try to have everything the Bride might need under one roof,” said Bridgers.
She said the Bridal Show is intended to put everything the Bride will need on her special day under one roof and give brides a chance to talk with different vendors and obtain information about various services they might need.
She said that the Bride is given a gift bag and a coupon for a discount in the gift shop along with a notepad and pen for taking notes or jotting down contact information.
Bridgers said door prizes will be awarded by each vendor. “Anyone attending can register for the prize,” said Bridgers.
