Colvin

Badr Rashada Colvin pled guilty earlier this week in Bladen County Superior Court to charges resulting from a carjacking in October, 2014, according to a news release from the office of District Attorney Jon David.

The incident took place Oct. 14, 2014 when Colvin approached a vehicle that was parked near 10120 N.C. 53 West, according to the release. Colvin pointed a gun at the driver of the vehicle, Henry Wood, and ordered Wood out of the vehicle. Colvin then took the vehicle.

Trooper Kevin Britt of the State Highway Patrol chased the vehicle driven by Colvin along N.C. 53 and into Fayetteville. Colvin crashed and totaled the vehicle, according to the release. Colvin was arrested with a .25 caliber semi-automatic pistol in his possession.

Colvin, 32, pled guilty to robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, and breaking and/or entering a motor vehicle, the release said. He was sentenced to 77 to 105 months in prison.
