More than 5,000 Duke Energy customers in Bladen County were without power for about an hour Tuesday night, according to the utility’s outage map. The outages were first reported about 8:45 p.m. Power had been restored before 10 p.m.
About 3,000 customers in Elizabethtown and Dublin, 1,800 in the Bladenboro area and 800 in the Clarkton and Abbotsburg area lost power when transmission lines were damaged, according to Duke Energy.
