The Bladenboro Visual Arts Council presents the work of artist Laura Newman in September and October at the Bladenboro Art Gallery located in the Bladenboro Historical Building on South Main Street. A reception for the artist is planned Sept. 12 from noon to 2 p.m.
Newman has her certificate for Art Education and is teaching in the Richland County School system. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and is working on getting her Master in Fine Arts degree at UNC Pembroke. She has a jewelry design business creating vintage inspired jewelry.
The Bladenboro Art Gallery is open Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There is no admission fee charged.
