Small Business Center at Bladen Community CollegeDUBLIN – The Small Business Center (SBC) of Bladen Community College is offering no-cost business seminars with several workshops specifically designed for churches and non-profits in November.

In partnership with the IRS, the SBC is pleased to host Are You Ready for the 2017 Tax Filing Season? on Tues., November 1, from 6 until 8 p.m., on the main campus in building 2, room 202. This seminar will provide tax tips that will assist you in preparing for the upcoming filing season.

The final seminar in the Entrepreneurs Academy series is scheduled for Wed., Nov. 2, from 4 until 6 p.m. How to Write a Business Plan will be held in building 3, room 112 on main campus.

Managing Employees by Personality Type will be offered on Thurs., Nov. 3, from 2 until 3 p.m.

The Bladen County Public Library will be hosting 500 Home Based Business Ideas on Tues., Nov. 8 from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m. at the main branch in Elizabethtown at 111 N. Cypress Street.

For non-profits and churches, the following seminars may be of interest.

Introduction to Grant Writing will be held at the East Arcadia campus on Tues., Nov. 8 from 6 until 8 p.m. The Business Side of Operating a Faith Based Organization will be offered Sat., Nov. 12, from 8:30 until 10:30 a.m. on the main campus in building 2, room 207. It will be immediately followed by Parliamentary Procedure Made Easy from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

All seminars are open to the public and provided at no charge due to special funding arrangements for the Small Business Center and Bladen Community College.
