Small Business Center at Bladen Community CollegeDUBLIN – The Small Business Center (SBC) of Bladen Community College is offering several no-cost seminars during the month of October.

Faith based organizations and non-profits will be interested in these Saturday seminars. The Business Side of Operating a Faith Based Organization is offered on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 8:30 until 10:30 a.m. on the BCC main campus in building 2, room 207. It will be immediately followed by Parliamentary Procedure Made Easy, scheduled from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

The Entrepreneurs’ Academy continues to meet on the main campus on Wednesdays with the remaining four seminars scheduled from 4 until 6 p.m. Workshops meet in building 2, room 202. The series will meet on the following dates:

  • 10/05 – Basics of Bookkeeping
  • 10/19 – Financing Your Business
  • 10/26 – Business Taxes
  • 11/02 – How to Write a Business Plan

Preparing Your Perfect Pitch is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 24, from 2 until 4 p.m. in building 2, room 207, on the main campus.

The Bladen County Public Library will be hosting How to Start/Expand a Cleaning Service on Tuesday, October 11, from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the 111 N. Cypress Street location in Elizabethtown.

Intro to Quickbooks for Business – Part 2 is scheduled for Tuesday, October 11, from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m., at the East Arcadia Center. 

All seminars are open to the public and provided at no charge due to special funding arrangements for the Small Business Center and Bladen Community College.
