Good morning! 3 things to know for Monday, November 9

1. The Elizabethtown driver license office at 107 N. Gillespie St. will be closed today (Monday) for equipment installation, according to the N.C. Department of Transportation. It’s scheduled to reopen Tuesday at 8 a.m.

2. Government meetings scheduled Monday include Bladen County Board of Education at 6 p.m. at the district office across from Elizabethtown Middle School and Bladenboro Board of Commissioners at 7 p.m. at Town Hall on Ivey Street.

3. Tuesday at 11 a.m., the Bladen County Board of Elections is scheduled to meet to canvass the votes from the Nov. 3 municipal elections. Unofficial results showed a tie for a commissioner’s seat in Clarkton, two write-in candidates will be named to the Tar Heel board, and a two-vote margin between a pair of incumbents for the final seat on the Bladenboro board.

And now you know.
