coastal-crescent-trail-1Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail needs your help to develop a plan for the future of the Coastal Crescent Trail.  Friends created the trail as a way for people who are hiking across North Carolina to explore some of the most special places in the Coastal Plain.  Now, Friends is seeking ideas for how to make the route even more enjoyable and interesting – by making sure travelers see interesting spots, by moving parts of the trail that are on roads to trail, and by identifying camping and lodging spots.

There are a couples of ways you can help:  (1) personally attend a public forum in your area; and (2) promote the forum by distributing the attached forum flyer, include on public bulletin boards and in your e-newsletters/announcements.

Public forums will be held at the four locations along the trail as listed below.  Participants are invited to drop in at any time during the two-hour session to see proposed trail maps and share your ideas. A brief project overview will be presented at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
