Rey Releases Video Ripping Incumbent Richard Burr, Challenges Former State Representative Deborah Ross to Keep Focus on Defeating Burr and America’s Future
SPRING LAKE, N.C. – October 08, 2015 ─ Mayor Chris Rey today, welcomed former State Representative Deborah Ross to the U.S. Senate race and challenged her to keep the focus of the campaign on defeating incumbent Richard Burr and on America’s future.
“I knew when I got in this race, I wouldn’t be the only Democrat running. I feel strongly that my vision for the future of North Carolina is the right vision, and I look forward to competing to win the Democratic nomination,” Rey said.
Rey said Representative Ross and her supporters have contacted Democrats in North Carolina to show up to film an announcement video today at 2:30 p.m. and he wanted to welcome her to the race.
Rey released a new video today entitled, “Why Rey” that begins to establish a rationale for his campaign and takes Burr on directly.
