Wallace-Rose Hill 3, East Bladen 2
 
Wallace-Rose Hill rallied in the final two games to overcome a 2-1 East Bladen lead and edge the Lady Eagles 3-2 Tuesday night in Four County Conference volleyball action by game scores of 25-20, 22-25, 24-26, 25-12 and 15-5.
 
Senior Abbey Norris hammered in 4 kills as the Lady Eagles edged in front early at 4-3. A Lexie Mendell block captured a service point for junior Miller Heustess at 5-3. A Claire Campbell spike and another Norris kill kept East ahead 7-6, before Wallace opened up a 17-8 lead with an 11-1 spurt.
 
Junior Lacey Suggs halted the Lady Bulldog run with a spike, then blistered an ace and two more service winners to trim the margin to 17-12. Norris knocked in 4 more kills to win a trio of service points for Heustess and one for Bethany Lesane that whittled the lead to 20-18. Wallace closed out the game with a 5-2 run.
 
Suggs drilled in a pair of aces and two more service points as East jumped in front 5-2 in Game 2. Freshman Hannah DeVane reeled off 5 straight service points aided by a Mendell spike and a Norris tip as the Lady Eagle lead grew to 11-3.
 
A Norris block and kill kept the margin at 13-5. Campbell spiked in a winner, Norris tallied 2 service points, and Mendell scored on a block for a 17-10 lead.
A  Norris kill stopped an 8-1 Lady Bulldog run, and 2 Suggs’ service points and one from DeVane kept East ahead at 23-20. Norris pounded in a kill, and Heustess served out the game to tie the match 1-1.
 
Norris began Game 3 with a block and a kill to capture a service point for Suggs and edge East in front 2-1. Campbell cracked a winning  return, and Mendell spiked in a winner to keep the Lady Eagles within 5-4.
 
Suggs and Norris tipped in winners to win service points for Mendell and Campbell and tie the game 7-7. Suggs rifled an ace off the top of the net, then belted 2 more service winners and another ace for an 11-9 East lead. 
 
Norris tapped in a winner, and Mendell won 2 service points to knot the game 18-18. Suggs smashed in a pair of kills to win 2 Campbell service points and vault East in front 20-19.
 
Suggs swatted in a kill and whistled in an ace for a 22-21 Lady Eagle lead. Norris delivered a kill, and Lesane served out the game with a trio of service points as Norris pushed across a winner and Mendell took game point with a block.
 
Down 2-1 the Lady Bulldogs started Game 4 with a 12-0 run. Norris halted the blitz with a trio of kills, and Suggs and Heustess tallied service points to close the gap to 13-5. Norris tapped in a winner, and Suggs knocked down a kill at 15-7, but a 10-5 Wallace run ended the game and tied the match.
 
Norris blasted a kill to win the first service point in Game 5 for Suggs. Suggs pushed across a winner to keep East even at 2-2. However Wallace took the match with a 13-3 closing run.
 
Suggs fired in 9 aces, 17 service points and 4 kills to lead East. Norris slammed in 16 kills, an ace, 2 blocks, 5 tips, and 2 back-row attacks.
 
Heustess racked up 24 assists, 8 service points and tipped in a winner. Mendell followed with 3 service points, an ace, 2 assists, 3 kills, and 3 blocks. Devane tallied 6 service points and an ace.
 
Lesane finished with 3 service points, and Campbell added 2 kills and a service point.
 
Wallace-Rose Hill won the junior varsity match 2-0 by game scores of 25-5 and 25-12.
 
The Lady Eagles will travel to Union Thursday for a 4:30 match.
