  • East Bladen High SchoolSenior Award Ceremony, Friday, May 20, 1:30 p.m., East Bladen Gymnasium.
  • Baccalaureate Service, Thursday, May 26, 6 p.m., East Bladen Gymnasium.  Seniors arrive at 5:30 with your cap, gown, and any approved stoles/cords.  Line-up will be in the media center.
  • Two practices are scheduled; June 6, 2016 from noon – 3 p.m. and June 9, 2016 from noon-3  p.m. at Elizabethtown Middle School (EMS) gym.  Lunch will be provided on June 6. Practices are mandatory in order to participate in the commencement ceremony.
  • Graduation date is Friday, June 10, 6 p.m. in the Elizabethtown Middle School Gymnasium.  Seniors must arrive at EMS by 4:30 p.m.  Doors for graduation open at 4:30 p.m. and close promptly at 5:55 p.m.  No one will be permitted to enter or exit the gym after the doors close. In the event that you have to exit the gym, you will not be allowed to re-enter until after the ceremony is complete.
  • Graduates that provide testing proctors for testing can have the opportunity to receive up to 5 extra tickets for the ceremony. Each day of proctoring is worth one extra graduation ticket.  Proctors must be trained so please call Mrs. Clark at 910-645-2500 for additional information to proctor and for the testing schedule.
  • Each senior that has paid all necessary fees or monies due to East Bladen will receive ten admission tickets for their guests.  Every guest including babies must have a ticket to enter the graduation ceremony.  Tickets will be given to seniors on Monday, June 6 after practice. Please inform your guests of the expectations for graduation.  There will be no yelling or noise making during the graduation ceremony.  Any guest who yells or makes noise will be escorted from the ceremony by the on-duty Sheriff’s Deputies. 
  • The senior fee is now $40. This fee covers printing of the programs/admittance tickets, security at graduation, decorations, senior meal at graduation practice, or any other costs associated with making the ceremony a success.
  • Dress Code:  Males:  White button-up dress shirt; solid necktie, dark colored dress pants, dark colored dress shoes, and dark colored socks.  Absolutely no tennis shoes, shorts, t-shirts, or flip flops.  Females:  Dark colored dress or blouse and skirt.  Dark colored dress pants are allowed.  Dark colored shoes.  Absolutely no tennis shoes, shorts, t-shirts, or flip flops.  Spike heels are not recommended due to the risk of falling.  All clothing, regardless of gender, must adhere to the Bladen County School’s Dress Code Policy.
  • Only approved stoles/cords can be worn.  Tassels are worn on the right side before pronouncement of 2016 graduates.
  • No balloons or gifts will be allowed in the gym.
