Bladen Community College is pleased to welcome Stephanie Gonzalez as the part-time community service director for the Continuing Education Department. Ms. Gonzalez, a graduate of Bladen Community College, was previously employed with the college as the recruiter for a grant project called NC Back-to-Work.
Ms. Gonzalez brings a wealth of experience to this position in working with students on areas of personal interest. She is actively recruiting instructors and students for community service courses and has several courses lined up for the summer semester such as shag lessons, guitar, piano, crafts, sewing, and painting, plus an assortment of other areas of interests.
Early registration is underway with classes set to begin May 18 and after. Registration fees range from $10 to $60, depending on the course and material costs. Ms. Gonzalez states “community service courses are a great way to explore your creativity or just have fun learning something new”.
