A big crash in yesterday’s practice at Daytona marked the return of NASCAR to Florida….Fortunately, no serious injuries, but several drivers had to go to back-up cars….More to come.
I remember being a regular at the Darlington 500 many years ago on Labor Day….Hot weather for sure…For a quarter, an all night theater provided air conditioning…I was never a big movie goer, but worth 25 cents for a cool place to sleep…a bargain..
A couple of reminders for today….The sidewalk sale continues in Elizabethtown and the fireworks display shortly after 9 p.m.tonight…would be nice if the weather cooperates……We are praying for rain one day and hoping it does not come the next….Fortunately, we cannot control.
If Republicans were looking for a “lightning rod” to begin the long campaign for a new president….Mr. Trump is filling the bill….Like, dislike or don’t care, he has provided a spark….
