Ever wonder how you would react if a child, your child told you they thought they were born of one sex but felt they were really another? Just thinking. I may be concerned, but I still love them. Some parents are dealing with the issue, not anyone I know, that I am aware of. Could be anyone of us.
Difficult to believe that Lumberton is the 4th most dangerous city in the USA. Henderson, NC was listed as #12. According to the article, it was based on the highest property crime rates & violent crime rates. The report was the product of SafeWise Analysts, based on information from FBI crime data of cities of a minimum population of 10,000 people. Still find that difficult to believe.
Political candidates are not experts on every issue that is discussed, despite what they would have you believe. I would love to hear one say, “I am not as well informed on that issues as I will be, give me a little time and I will get back with you.” And we think they are not telling the truth or changing their answer, and they are. Government is complex and we the public, and they as candidates, make it even more so. Nothing wrong with a confession.
Congratulations to Emily M. Scott and David C. Pridgen, Bladen County students selected and they have accepted the opportunity to attend the Governor’s 2016 School. Pridgen was selected to participate in the English school and Scott will be in the Natural Science school. I must confess, I discovered the two on a quick check of the list of participants. If there are other locals, we will recognize as well.
I love rising early and going for a walk. Early morning and Thursday’s are my favorite times of the week. Thursday evening is special, siblings share time together.
