A crash at the intersection of US 701 North and Queen Street in the vicinity of Go Gas, closed the northbound lanes of the highway for a brief period of time.
A logging truck and a small compact car were involved in the crash. No serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
A logging truck was waiting to turn right onto US 701 from Queen Street when a car became wedged underneath the trailer. The driver of the car was transported to Bladen County Hospital.
The Elizabethtown Fire Department, Elizabethtown Police Department, Bladen County EMS, Bladen County Emergency Management, and Bladen County Sheriff’s Office responded.
