Elizabethtown, NC— Special Olympics Bladen County will be hosting its annual spring game event on April 13, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. and with a rain date of April 24, 2017. The event will be held at Elizabethtown Middle School.

Special Olympics Bladen County is an accredited subprogram of Special Olympics North Carolina, Inc., offering year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. These athletes inspire greatness through their success and provide motivation to the many coaches, sports officials, local program committee members and other supporters involved in Special Olympics.  More than 100 athletes participate in Special Olympics in Bladen County.

Momentary donations, sponsorships, and in-kind donations of goods and/or services provide our local program with the support needed to hold this event and provide additional year-round opportunities.  Each donation will help us reach one more athlete, so that they too may enjoy the wonderful gifts of opportunity, inclusion, health, achievement and JOY through Special Olympics! All donations will help fund athletic uniforms, awards, sports training and competition facilities, coaches’ education, transportation and much more. No athlete or family is ever asked to pay a fee of any kind to participate in Special Olympics. Donations help carry the flame of hope for participating athletes. All donations are tax deductible as Special Olympics Bladen County is a subprogram of Special Olympics North Carolina which is 501(c)3non-profit organization. Donations can be made through our fundraising website, https://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/tessia-williams/SpecialOlympicsBladenCounty  or in person to our Co Coordinator, Tessia Williams at Bladen County Board of Education.
