The Boost of Boro group has been setting up all day today for the Beast Fest. This year the fun starts early with amusement rides this evening starting at 6:00 pm in the First Citzens Bank Parking lot with Fun Time Amusements’ rides..

Saturday the Beast Fest Fun Run 5 K starts at 8:30 am in the Bladenboro’s Town Hall parking lot. All ages are welcome to run, or walk. Strollers are welcome too.

The Beast Fest Opening Ceremonies starts at 10 am with around 55 vendors and a full schedule of entertainment. Click here for the full schedule of events.  Entertainment is set for all day long with local talent, Jim Quick and the Coast Line Band playing at 4 pm and the Black Water Rhythm and Blues Band playing at 7 pm.

There will be a Costume Contest for people and for animals. Folks can ride on a camel, a pony, and a horse and carriage. There will be a Lizard Lick Towing meet and greet.

The Southeastern Cruisers, “Beast of Bladenboro” Car Show promises to be a good show with awards starting at 3 pm.

Craft vendors, and food vendors will be set up offering a variety of items. Word is there will even be Collard Sandwiches available.

New Light Church will be hosting a “Truck or Treat” for kids under 12. According to the Boost the Boro’s Facebook page there should be enough candy to give 1,500 children a treat.

On Sale now at Bladenboro Farmers Market are 2015 Beast Fest T- Shirts, Sweatshirts, and Hoodies. Purchase your, Friday 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm and Saturday 8 am until 4:00 pm. Prices are T-Shirts for $10.00, Sweatshirts for $20.00, and Hoodies for $ 20.00.
