blackwater-logoThe final installment of the Summer Sounds concert series is set to kick off Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Cape Fear Farmers Market with Black Water Rhythm and Blues. The concert series is presented by the Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, Cape Fear Valley-Bladen Healthcare, and platinum, gold, silver and bronze sponsors.

Admission to the concert is free and food and drinks are available for purchase from silver sponsors Cape Fear Chicken and Barbecue and Lu Mil Vineyard. Lu Mil Vineyard will be offering Muscadine wine and Muscadine slushies; and Sunset Slush of Bladen County will also be on hand offering tasty frozen treats.

Don’t forget to stop and check out the vendors who will be on hand. Also, don’t forget to purchase your concert T-shirts. The cost of T-shirts is $10 and they can be found at the Cape Fear Valley-Bladen Healthcare tent.

Black Water Rhythm and Blues is from Clarkton and they play a variety of Beach music, Blues, and Funk. The band consists of members Fred Cook, Dale Edwards, Greg Elkins, Donald Jordan, Andy King, Devin Dove, William Sellers, Kendrix Singletary, Dan Wolfe and Sound Engineer: Eddie Cogle.

Many folks are familiar with their hit song “Dance Tonight” and other crowd favorites include “I Fooled Around and Fell in Love” and their newest song, “Why I Love You.”

Everyone is encouraged to bring your family and friends and a lawn chair and enjoy the evening at the Cape Fear Farmer’s Market located at 106 Martin Luther King Drive in Elizabethtown.
