national_library_weekApril 10-16 is National Library Week and the Bladen County Public Library system has activities planned.

Each of the three libraries will have special stories about books and libraries during the week and a poetry contest at the main library in Elizabethtown.

Activities are scheduled at Bridger Memorial Library in Bladenboro on Monday, April 11 at 3;30 p.m., Clarkton Public Library on Tuesday, April 12 at 3:30 p.m., and at the main branch in Elizabethtown on Thursday, April 14 at 10 a.m. and at 3:30 p.m.

Also, on Thursday, April 14, in Elizabethtown, a poetry contest is planned from 6:30-8 p.m. There will be categories for children, teens and adults, with the winner awarded a prize. Registration for the contest will be at the door on the night of the event. The public is invited to attend.
