ELIZABETHTOWN — The Bladen County Master Gardeners, along with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension-Bladen County Center, awards two $500 scholarships annually to encourage promising students planning to enter the field of agriculture or horticulture and to prepare them for a career through an organized program of study at a North Carolina college or university.
Applications will be accepted from students meeting the following criteria:
— Planning to or already enrolled in a North Carolina college or university for 2017.
— A senior at a Bladen County high school or a resident of Bladen County.
— Planning to pursue a two-year or four-year degree in agriculture- or horticulture-related field.
Applications are available at the Bladen County Cooperative Extension Office, located at 450 Smith Circle, Elizabethtown. Completed applications are due no later than April 21 at 4:30 p.m.
