Some folks say, “Teamwork makes the dream work.” Two civic clubs are working together to honor local heroes.
Bladenboro Rotary Club has joined forces with the Elizabethtown Rotary Club to pull off a World War II Bladen County Heroes Luncheon Celebration. Elizabethtown Rotary Club member and committee chairman, Dr. Darrell Page spoke at the Monday, March 20th meeting of the Bladenboro Rotary Club on the upcoming event.
The clubs have identified about eight World War II veterans so far. If you know a Veteran of World War II in Bladen County please contact a Bladenboro or Elizabethtown Rotary Club member.
The luncheon is set for May 31st at 1 p.m. at the Cape Fear Vineyard & Winery.
