Fun and festivities isn’t the only thing that took place on Saturday, October 29th in Bladenboro during the Beast Fest. Two candidates opposing each other for North Carolina House of Representative District 46 had an altercation according to the Bladenboro Police Department.

Candidate Brenden Jones and Candidate Tim Benton both running for the North Carolina seat were spotted in the downtown area in front of Diamond Dave’s restaurant in an altercation, both calling out for the police to take charge of the situation according to law enforcement on the scene.

A report about the incident was made at the local police station. BladenOnline.com has reached out to both candidates for statements.

Benton said he is not making any statements and his attorneys will release a statement on his behalf at a later date.
