HARROGATE, TN – West Bladen grad Clint Allen knocked in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning as his Coker Cobras defeated Lincoln Memorial 4-2 Friday night in South Atlantic Conference baseball action.

The teams were tied 2-2 in the top of the seventh when Allen greeted Lincoln Memorial relief pitcher Chase Randolph with a single to left-centerfield that drove in Brooks Estrada. Allen advanced on a sacrifice and raced home when Jon Koski singled through the right side.

In Saturday’s 6-4 Coker win in the second game of a double-header, Allen laid down a sacrifice bunt in the fifth inning that moved 2 runners into scoring position. Teammate Robert Lybrand followed with a single to right that scored both runners and tied the game 4-4.

Allen ripped a single through the left side in the sixth inning that drove in Estrada with the sixth Cobra run.

The Cobras improved to 3-3 in the SAC and 12-6 overall and will travel to Catawba Friday night at 6 p.m.
