GREENEVILLE, TN – Bladenboro native Clint Allen walloped a solo home run and drove in 3 runs in Coker College’s 10-6 South Atlantic Conference win over Tusculum Friday night.
Allen finished 2-4 at the plate and scored 2 runs. In Coker’s six-run fourth-inning, Allen singled to drive in a run, advanced on a wild pitch and scored on Bryson Conner’s single.
The West Bladen grad plated Jon Koski with a squeeze bunt in the sixth inning. Allen blasted a home run over the centerfield fence leading off the eighth inning.
The Cobras split Saturday’s double-header with Tusculum winning the opener 5-3 before dropping the nightcap by a 3-0 score. Allen belted a single to leftfield for one of only two Coker hits in the nightcap.
Coker is now 2-1 in the SAC and 9-5 overall.
