The weather was perfect on this sunny Sunday for the Coastal Carolina Off-Road Series #7 to come to Brown’s Creek Bike Trail in Elizabethtown. Folks were reminded earlier this week to make plans to attend the first-ever CCORS race in Elizabethtown.
The Kid’s Race began at noon and all the other classes started at 1:00 pm on Sunday, May 31st. The Elizabethtown Rotary Club helped serve up lunch to participants.
Rockstar Energy Drink and Fuel Clothing Company were just two of the many sponsors of today’s races. Fuel Clothing provided some of their new mountain biking socks for race #7 and Rockstar Energy Drinks gave out their refreshing drinks.
After the races were over the CCORS provided free food for the participants and held a raffle for Fuel Clothing socks and some other IMBA/SORBA items.
Some of the Cape Fear Sorba group participating in the races today have been instrumental in the construction of Brown’s Creek Nature Park and Bike Trail. As we can all see, this treasure in Elizabethtown brings many benefits and reaches beyond our community. For more information about CCORS visit their website at http://ccors.com/.
