The Elizabethtown Town Council will meet on Monday night and receive the Seven Seals Award from Dr. Darrell Page. The award recognizes employers for their support of the Guard and Reserves.
“The Seven Seals Award is in recognition of significant individual or organizational achievement, initiative, or support that promotes and supports the ESGR mission, to include the efforts of the more than 4,700 volunteers who carry out ESGR’s mission across the Nation on a daily basis,” according to the ESGR website.
The Council will also get their first glimpse of the proposed 2016-17 budget.
A public hearing is scheduled for a code of ordinances amendment: Chapter 91: Animals (horses to be permitted in the town limits).
The board will also consider two proclamations. One declaring the week of May 15 – May 21 as National Police Week and and a second declaring the month of May as Older Americans Awareness Month.
The council will be asked to consider resolution to declare certain items as surplus property.
The board will also be asked to approve a capital improvement plan for the period of 2016-2020; consider appointment to the Zoning Ordinance Update Committee; consider appointments for the Elizabethtown Planning Board and Elizabethtown Housing Authority; and consider a janitorial services proposal for the municipal building.
The board will also receive the monthly financial report and tax and tag releases.
