Bladen County had a busy Thanksgiving week. Black Friday and Small Business Saturday was successful according to both shoppers and local business owners in the area. Lu Mil Vineyard kicked off their annual light show Saturday, but the holiday fun is just beginning. 

The Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding their annual Christmas Parade, Sunday, November 27th at 3p.m. in downtown Elizabethtown and Santa is sure to show up.

According to Dawn Maynard, Executive Director of the local chamber, there are about 50 units lined up for the parade. Some businesses in the downtown area will be open on Sundays now until Christmas too.

Bladenboro is set to hold their annual Christmas Parade as well. The Bladenboro Parade will be on Saturday, December 3rd beginning at 10 a.m. according to Jane Walters, one of the parade organizers.

The Lu Mil Vineyard light show will continue on Thursday through Sunday, Dec. 1 – 4 and Dec. 8 – 11 from 6 until 10- p.m. On Thursday, Dec. 15, continuing through Friday, Dec 23, the show will take place nightly from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Cost for the light show is $6 person with a maximum of $60 per vehicle (vans and buses).

Last but not least, Santa Claus is scheduled to be at each of the events.
