Senior Justice Carr and sophmore Sedajah Murphy combined for 29 points to lead Wallace-Rose Hill to a 50-27 Four County Conference girls basketball victory over visiting West Bladen Wednesday night.

Carr threw in 7 points, and Murphy nailed a 3-pointer and another basket as the Lady Bulldogs raced to an 18-4 first period lead.

The Lady Knights rallied with a 7-2 second quarter spurt. Junior Logan Autry tossed in a basket and a free throw, junior Jerena Purdie sank 2 free throws, and junior Laikyn Pait added a basket as West closed the gap to 20-11 at halftime.

Murphy racked up 9 third period points, and Carr tallied 4 more as the Lady Bulldogs rode an 18-7 surge to a 38-18 lead. Two free throws by Autry, one by junior Akira Grimes and baskets by Purdie and Pait accounted for the West Bladen points.

Pait netted a pair of fourth quarter baskets and led the Lady Knight scoring with 10 points. Autry finished with 7 points, and Purdie followed with 6 points.

Carr led all scorers with 15 points, and Murphy followed with 14 points. Sophmore Sara Coston totaled 10 points for Wallace.

The Lady Knights are now 4-5 in the league and 6-12 overall. West Bladen travels to Heide Trask Friday night.
