Senior Lacey Suggs fired in 4 goals to lead East Bladen’s Lady Eagles to a 5-0 Four County Conference girls soccer victory over visiting Heide Trask Tuesday night.

Suggs opened the scoring with a goal in the fourteenth minute. Nine minutes later freshman Ashley Hardin converted an assist from junior Cassie Hill into the second East goal.

Three minutes later Suggs struck again with her second goal of the game that pushed the East lead to 3-0. In the 33rd minute, Suggs recorded her ‘Hat Trick’ with a third goal that extended the Lady Eagle halftime lead to 4-0.

East Bladen tacked on one more goal in the second half as senior Abby Ward sent a feed to Suggs that resulted in Suggs’ fourth goal of the game. The 5-10 senior has now scored 28 goals in 12 games.

Senior Kathryn Cole recorded her eleventh shutout in goal for the Lady Eagles.

Coach Jay Raynor’s Lady Eagles improved to 9-2 in the league and 15-2 overall. East Bladen will travel to Wallace-Rose Hill Thursday.
