Lower Cape Fear Hospice recently met a goal to sell 750 tickets for its Last Chance for White Pants Gala raffle. That was the minimum number that had to be sold for the raffle of a 2015 A5 Audi Cabriolet convertible to take place.

“Based on the support we received from the community and since it’s a fabulous prize, we were pretty certain we would be able to sell the required number of tickets to ensure the raffle took place,” Lindsey Champion, LFCH development manager, said. “However, it is great knowing we met our first goal. We can’t possibly thank Audi Cape Fear enough for donating such an awesome prize.”

The 2015 Audi A5 Cabriolet 2.0T convertible with Tiptronic comes loaded with leather seats, Homelink, Bluetooth, navigation, an Audi sound system, satellite radio, tons of safety features and much more. Raffle tickets for the car are $100 each. A total of only 1,500 tickets will be sold.

The raffle winner does not have to be present to win, but everyone is encouraged to come to the gala. It’s at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Audi Cape Fear in Wilmington. Gala tickets are $125 each.

Proceeds from the gala and raffle go to work immediately by providing the gift of hospice to patients and families facing end of life. Buying a ticket helps patients get the important care they need and ensures families get attention and support, regardless of ability to pay.

LCFH Foundation also recently launched a Facebook event for the gala. People can visit the page, see who is going, invite friends, check out event sponsors, and get information about the gala, the raffle and this year’s band The Free at www.facebook.com/events/683121661820154.
