Midway rallied with a fourth quarter touchdown then held off visiting West Bladen in the final minutes to post a 22-16 Four County Conference jayvee football victory Thursday night.

Kerron Washington ran for both Knight touchdowns, and Daquan Smith scored both of West Bladen’s 2-point conversions.

The first Washington touchdown came in the first half, and with Smith’s conversion kept West within 14-8 at the half. After halftime Washington tied the game with another touchdown run, and Smith carried into the end zone for the go-ahead conversion that put the Knights up 16-14.

After Midway scored to re-take the lead, the Knights were stopped on fourth down in Raider territory with less than 3 minutes left to play. Midway then ran out the clock to preserve the win.

The Knight jayvees, now 1-5, will host East Bladen Thursday at 6:30.
