ROSE HILL – Union turned a pair of late turnovers into touchdowns and defeated West Bladen 26-14 in Four County Conference jayvee football action.

With the score tied 14-14, the Knights lost a fumble at their own goal line, and the Spartans recovered it in the end zone. The Knights then went to the passing game due to the lack of time remaining, and the Spartans picked off a pass and returned it for a clinching touchdown.

West Bladen freshman quarterback Tyre Boykin threw a 67-yard touchdown pass to Aldo Hernandez for the first Knight touchdown, then connected with Hernandez again on a 73-yard touchdown pass.

Boykin also tossed a 2-point conversion pass to Shemaiah Leak.

The Knight jayvees are now 2-2 on the season and will travel to Wallace-Rose Hill Thursday for a 6:30 p.m. game.
