Freshmen Conner Brisson and Chasitty Lacy and sophmore Mikayla Winebarger combined for 34 points Tuesday night to lead West Bladen’s jayvee girls to a 49-46 Four County Conference basketball victory over Wallace-Rose Hill.

Brisson topped the Lady Knight scoring with 12 points, and Lacy and Winebarger followed with 11 points each. Sophmore Indiyah Williams added 7 points for the winners.

Lacy drained a 3-point shot and sank 2 free throws in the first quarter, but West trailed 6-5 at the quarter break.

Winebarger made 4 of 6 free throws in the second quarter and added a basket, but the Lady Bulldogs held on to an 18-17 halftime lead.

Brisson took charge in the third quarter throwing in 3 baskets and a free throw. Lacy nailed another 3-point shot as the Lady Knights pulled even at 34-34.

Williams bombed in a 3-pointer in the final quarter and added another basket. Sophmore Anna Moser netted 2 baskets in the period as the Lady Knights pulled out the victory.

Coach Joe Lewis’ Lady Knights improved to 3-1 in Four County play and moved into a first-place tie with the Lady Bulldogs. West Bladen is 4-5 overall and will travel to Wallace Wednesday for a 4 p.m. rematch.
