ROCKY POINT – Junior Brooks McGill scored 2 goals and sophomore Greyson Heustess dished out 3 assists to lead East Bladen to a 4-3 Four County Conference men’s soccer victory over Heide Trask.
Senior Grey Cabellero and freshman Jake Evans fired in one goal each for the Eagles. Evans was also credited with an assist.
The Eagles led 3-1 at halftime then held on for the win. Bryen Woody delivered a ‘Hat Trick’ for Trask scoring all 3 Titan goals.
Sophmore Pierce Melvin led the East Bladen defense with 9 steals. Cabellero and sophmores Dan Tatum and Ezequiel Arteaga contributed 8 steals each.
Heustess collected 7 steals, and McGill and sophmore Keshaun Davis followed with 6 steals each. Evans, junior Jacob Barber and freshman Gabe Barber added 5 steals each.
The Eagles improved to 8-4 in the league and 12-5-1 overall. East Bladen travels to Four County Conference leader Clinton Monday at 5 p.m
