 TAR HEEL – Brady Hollingsworth pitched a one-hitter, and Elizabethtown pounded out 15 hits in a 2-inning, 19-0 victory over Tar Heel Tuesday.
 
Kendall Johnson slammed a second-inning double for the only Panther hit. Hollingsworth struck out 2 and retired 6 of the 7 batters that he faced.
 
Elizabethtown scored 16 of their 19 runs in the first inning. Hollingsworth, Jordan Robinson and Ethan Johnson cracked 2 hits each in the first inning and scored 2 runs each.
 
Cody Butler doubled and scored in the first, and Fred Wooten, Jay McKoy, Allen Owens, Zach Meares and Drew Sholar smacked one hit each in the first.
 
Zachary Butler, Jayson Baxter and Owens belted one hit each as the Cougars added a trio of  runs in the second inning.
 
Hollingsworth batted a perfect 2-2 and scored 3 runs. Robinson was 2-2 at the plate and scored twice. Johnson finished 2-3 at the plate and scored 2 runs. Owens also batted 2-2.
 
Cody Butler doubled and scored a run. Meares, Wooten, Zachary Butler, Jay McKoy, Baxter and Sholar connected for one hit each.
 
Makhi Cromartie, Wooten, Jay McKoy and Meares scored 2 runs each. Zachary Butler, Tyler Hill, and Sholar scored one run each.
 
Coach Tripp Lancaster’s Cougars improved to 3-0 with the victory.
