Clarkton School of Discovery pounded out 13 hits en route to a 20-4 Bladen Five Middle School Conference victory at Tar Heel Thursday.
Anna-Kate White pitched a one-hitter, slammed a double and batted a perfect 3-3 for the Lady Blue Devils. Her courtesy runner, Johanna Parker, scored 4 times. White struck out 5 and walked three.
Shortstop Erica McKoy blasted an inside-the-park home run and a triple, walked twice and scored 4 runs. Adrian Howell cracked 3 hits in 3 at-bats and scored a run.
Secondbaseman T. T. Gaddy walloped an inside-the-park home run, a single and scored twice. Abby Cross belted 2 hits in 2 at-bats and scored twice.
Carleigh DeVane smashed a double and a single and scored a run. Izzy Smith walked 3 times and scored 3 runs. Esther Jimenez-Ward also scored a run for Clarkton.
Teniyah Robinson connected for the Tar Heel hit. Pitcher Conner Brisson and Tanamero scored a run each for the Lady Panthers.
The Lady Blue Devils improve to 5-0 in the Bladen Five and 8-0 overall.
